jayn_courchaine.jpgCamp Four Echoes is once again under the expert guidance of Jayn Courchaine ("Handy"), our Camp Director.

Jayn has been involved in scouting since she joined Girl Scouts as a Girl Scout Cadette, earning the highest award at the time, the Girl Scout First Class, which meant that a girl was an "all-around" person with some skills in many fields and a proficiency in one.

For the past 17 years, she has served locally as a Girl Scout trainer undergoing advanced training in outdoor camping at the Edith Macy Conference Center, the GSUSA adult training facility in New York. Jayn’s natural leadership, safety-emphasis, and ability to organize and inspire groups has been nurtured since she was 18. She has also served as a lifeguard, canoe, and sailing instructor.

Jayn believes in setting high goals for the girls in her charge and is confident that they will rise to meet those expectations. Jayn leads campers through varied program offerings and treasures the traditions inherent to Camp Four Echoes’ storied history.

Jayn’s ability to build teams and engender cooperation, coupled with practical and outdoor skills, Girl Scout knowledge, and an infectious enthusiasm for life, ensure that GSEWNI’s Camp Four Echoes’ campers and staff are in for a memorable summer adventure.

Join us for a GREAT summer!
