You’re invited to join your fellow alumnae, volunteers, Girl Scouts, and friends from across the country and around the world at our 2014 Girl Scout Convention in spectacular Salt Lake City, Utah! This exhilarating event is taking place October 16–19. Register 


There are proposals placed on the Convention agenda by the National Board of Directors of Girl Scouts of the USA which our designated national delegates will vote on your behalf. The national delegate role is to obtain input from adult, Girl Scout Senior and Girl Scout Ambassador members from all parts of the council. To view the proposed items click here. Winter Store Hours

As we transition into fall, the days are getting shorter and it’s getting darker much earlier in the day.  Because of this, the store is adjusting its winter hours to more align with our council office hours of operation as a safety precaution for our store staff.

Effective Monday, September 29th, the winter hours for the store are:

Monday thru Friday – 9am to 5pm

Saturday – 10am to 2pm

at S'mores

September 26th 5:00pm to 
September 28th at 1:00pm

Start off your weekend with a fabulous presentation on using Journeys with your troop. Your weekend will continue with hands on learning for Journeys by age level or take your Stepping Out & Camping Out training. The weekend wouldn't be complete without some time to enjoy nature and the outdoors, so be sure to take some time to canoe, hike, visit the trading post and network with your fellow volunteers. Don't miss the fun this year at S'Mores weekend!

More Than S'mores

According to a new study by the Girl Scout Research Institute, More Than S'mores (2014), girls benefit immensely from time spent outdoors. Girls who regularly spend time outdoors eclipse their peers who spend less time outdoors in environmental stewardship, they more readily seek challenges, and are better problem solvers-all important traits in twenty-first century leadership. To view the full report, click the link below.
